With the economic times getting tougher for everybody, many people are looking for ways to save money without making too many personal sacrifices. One of the most common and very popular results of this is what is known as window-box gardening. This is especially popular in more urban settings where yards and open ground are more than just a little bit scarce.
Christ as the Last Adam

One of the many parables that seem to lead to more questions than answers is the comparison of Christ to Adam. Going back to the whole thing with the “apple” it is easy to see why this can be confusing to some people. Eve was deceived by Satan but Adam sinned willfully. Since this was done before they had any offspring, sin and death have been passed down to all of us as their posterity. Had it not occurred in such a manner, I may not be sitting here writing this today but since it did, well, we all know the story I think.
Bad Fad Diets

If you are at all familiar with the term “fad” you may be able to see right away what would be wrong with fad diets. If you are not familiar with the term, in American terms, it is generally viewed as a passing craze. In British terms, it means to be overly fussy, particularly when it comes to what a person will or will not consume. Both of these definitions have negative connotations and that is not entirely without reason. When you are beginning your personal weight loss challenge, are you going to want the negative aspects or the positive aspects on your side? To better understand this, first take a look at exactly what the negative connotations are in association with fad diets.

Some subtle issues should be noted in regards to cross stitch patterns. Whether they are based on somebody’s artwork, a photograph or other types of art, there will be some subtle differences in how they appear. Most of this depends on how you do your cross stitching or needlepoint. While that may sound obvious, the subtleties are often only noticeable when you have completed the pattern. I do not know about you, but that is a little late for my tastes.
The Biblical Book of Job

In this article, I am going to try to explain the Book of Job as a prophetic work. I believe that the Bible is prophetic in nature. I think that Job is symbolic of the world today. Job was not, in fact, taunted, abused or rejected by God. Satan and his minions beset Job. God allowed this to happen in order to prove his point. His point very simply was that no matter how hard Satan tried, he could not detract the true worshipers of God. I believe that is every bit as true today as it was for Job way back when.
We know that by Job’s day sin was prevalent in the world. We can trace that back to the days of the Garden of Eden even before Babel where the people of the world were dispersed and given separate languages. Job however, rejected the sinful manner in which many people lived and devoted his worship to God. God, in return had blessed Job with many possessions and a worthy family.
Satan approached God to challenge Him. The idea was to challenge God’s rule or his sovereignty. The challenge was substantially larger than any individual was. Satan (wrongly) believed that Job worshiped God only because of the physical possessions with which he was blessed. (An interesting note here is that Satan had been “Walking around the earth” beforehand Read “Is God Really In Charge?” for more information about that)
Per the Biblical account:
